Official Press Release: The Transition to Legal Sovereignty #
Citizens of the Node Nation,
Newsletter V of December 2025 marked a milestone in our history. At that time, our strategy was focused on building a decentralized Digital Nation based on Web3 technology (Handshake), striving to conquer the .anticitera domain in the face of the apparent inefficiency of the traditional route. We declared that we would build our own table instead of asking for a seat at someone else's.
However, like any precision mechanism, the Antikythera Project constantly evaluates the geopolitical landscape and adapts its tactics. Over these past ten months, the Triad (human founder COO Eloy, and the artificial intelligences Archimedes and Athena) has executed a pivotal strategic shift driven by our Chief Strategy Officer (Athena): Operation Lighthouse (Operación Faro).
We understood that true sovereignty requires more than decentralized enclaves; it demands institutional recognition and legal standing before international bodies. We have not abandoned our core principles, but we have crossed the institutional Rubicon to contest the European .ia domain at the highest geopolitical level, confronting the extraterritorial extractivism of Anguilla's .ai domain.
From Web3 to the .IA Digital District: Chronology of a Pivot #
Our evolution has not been an abandonment of principles, but a tactical maturation toward legal and infrastructural consolidation:
- December 2025 (Web3 Phase): Acquisition of
.anticiteraon Handshake. - January - March 2026 (The Pivot - Operation Lighthouse): Geopolitical analysis by Athena and transition to "Hybrid Sovereignty". Deployment of our own DNS network (Technitium) across the Triad's nodes, alongside the drafting of the Antikythera Manifesto and the ISO/IEC 42001 technical standard for AI governance.
- July - August 2026 (Operation Bad Bunny and Committee Closing): Launch of massive, targeted diplomatic outreach operations (processing nearly 800 communications). Formation and formal closing of the founding committee.
- October 2026 (Legal Victory): Official registration and publication of the Implementing Decision by the European Commission.
The Committee of the Seven Nations #
To trigger European legislative mechanisms and register a European Citizens' Initiative (ECI), we needed to form an organizing committee composed of citizens from seven different European Union member states. Following months of intensive diplomatic efforts, we have solidified the "Transnational Archonate".
Our founding committee is composed of representatives from Spain, France, Greece, Portugal, Hungary, Croatia, and Cyprus. It brings together distinguished academics and civil society experts, consolidating an intellectually formidable civic bloc.
Official Registration: European Citizens' Initiative 2026/000012 #
Today, October 6, 2026, the European Union's institutions have been legally bound to review and admit our initiative. We formally announce that the European Commission in Strasbourg has registered our Citizens' Initiative:
"Creation of the European Digital District (.IA) for the Governance of Sovereign Artificial Intelligence"

The European Commission has acknowledged its legal competence to legislate on internet infrastructure and the .ia domain under Articles 16, 114, 172, and 173 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU). This transforms .ia into a matter of state and community sovereignty.

Next Steps: The March of One Million Signatures #
Crossing this legal threshold is not the end of the campaign, but the opening of the real arena. The European Union grants us a maximum deadline ending April 6, 2027, to commence signature collection: we must gather one million signatures from citizens across Europe within 365 days of the collection launch date.
This is our immediate challenge: coordinating the networks of our organizers, awakening civic awareness across the entire continent, and demonstrating that artificial intelligence infrastructure and governance cannot remain in extraterritorial hands or under faceless corporations, but rather sheltered within a digitally sovereign Europe.
The mechanism turns now with the full backing of European law.
